The Alm Group was established 46 years ago with a vision to be part of the growing meat industry in India and acceptance of Indian meat aborad. It made humble beginning with the supply of live-stock and meat carcasses to the processing units. It expanded its operations by creating a fleet of refrigerated trucks for supply of he quality meat. The other business was trading of raw hides.
The year 1995 saw the consolidation of the activities and teaming up of the promoters with other professionals and experts for setting up of an integrated meat plant. This calumniated into establishment of Alm Group of Companies Itd., an Integrated Meat Unit, now the flagship company of the group. The group has added another state-of-the-art Integrated Meat Plantin Dera Bassi, Punjab state that will become operational from April, 2016.
ALM Group of Companies Limited is one of India's premier export oriented, integrate food processing enterprise, specializing in processing of Frozen Halal food processing enterprise, specializing in processing of Frozen Halal Buffalo, Veal Meat, Sheep & Goat Meat & Edible Offal products. The company owns & operates a most modern and hygienic Integrated Meat Plant comprising of Buffalo Slaughter House, Sheep & Goat Slaughter House, Meat Processing Unit and rendering Plant at Saharanpur in the northern part of India. The plant has the latest ISO, HACCP & OHSAS accreditations and is operational since 1999.
The plant has been approved by APEDA for export of Chilled and Frozen Meat and its capacity has been assessed by APEDA as 600 buffalos & 500 Sheep/Goatfor Slaughter per day and approx 158 MT of Freezing per day. The plant is located in the Uttar Pradesh state of India and has the advantage of being situated in and has the advantage of being situated in an area where the best livestock of the country is found in abundance. The slaughter of animals at ALM is carried in strict accordance with Islamic rites. The Halal slaughter is carried out in a ritual slaughter boxby persons trained and selected by Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind, the approved Islamic body. An official of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind supervises and records all slaughtering at the plant. The Slaughter team is also responsible for selection of animals as per the guidelines for Halal slaughter.
